Acrylic on Canvas
Named after my Grandad. I thought he was also scary and mysterious. Who is he, really? Why do his eyes look haunted?
Life Saturated began with the desire to bring the outside, inside!
Each painting is influenced by my surroundings: Dazzling city lights, grandiose freight ships, and Gracie's Pearls outlining the Lions Gate Bridge at night...Things I regard as spectacles of human achievement.
Beyond the concrete and steel and traffic, however, lies another world. A world full of flora and fauna. With towering conifers, foragers and lush greenery. This is the temperate rainforest that decorates the natural lands of the Pacific Northwest. I feel as humans, we are boxed off from our natural world too often.
Excitement, culture, and seemingly endless opportunity may lure many people to cities , but some might forget about all the magic there is to be found outside of human creation. There is so much life to see out there! Remarkable, beautiful, natural life.
